13 Mar Easter Walk is Coming!
Think Easter Walk is just for children? Then think again!
Easter Walk is an amazing interactive way to experience the Easter story. There are 7 stations around the church, follow them and get lost in the wonder of what really is the greatest story ever told!
Its a place for quiet reflection, contemplation, prayer and delving into what is no doubt already a very familiar story, its a space to lean into, to listen and connect.
Come alone or with friends, everyone is welcome. It will be open late on the Tuesday evening and be following by a service of Compline led by Caroline and again through the day on Saturday.
What’s Compline we hear you say?
The ancient office of Compline derives its name from a Latin word meaning ‘completion’ (completorium). It is above all a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day. It is most effective when the ending is indeed an ending, without additions, conversation or noise. It is a beautiful way to end the day. If you’d like to know more talk to Caroline who would love to tell you all about it.
However, Easter Walk will not set itself up!
This year we will again welcome children in throughout the week from a number of our local Primary schools but its a big job getting it all set up and ready and a big job setting it all back down again. Anytime you might be able to give would be very much appreciated. See the timetable below the poster.
