HERITAGE DAY – SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER – ST MARY’S CHURCH

HERITAGE DAY – SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER – ST MARY’S CHURCH

This year Walton-on-Thames is celebrating it’s 20th Heritage Day event!

As in previous years, we will be opening the church between 11.00am-3.00pm. This will include the opportunity to go up the tower, which proved very popular and successful last year.

Elsewhere around the town there will be a lots of other exciting things going on and you can find out more on the WoTTA website.

In order for Heritage Day to happen we do require lots of volunteers, we need at least 10 volunteers per hour to help welcome people, serve refreshments, set up the Parish registers and other historical information that we’ll have out for viewing and of course set down. Heritage Day is a fun and rewarding day and all and any offers of help will be gratefully received!

If you can offer help for an hour or more on the day, or provide cakes or cookies to go with the refreshments, please can you give your name to John Badcock – [email protected]
