19 Sep Heritage Day & Abseiling (but mostly abseiling!)

They did it, all 45 of them!

All across Walton there were activities at different venues, the whole day was a huge success and all of Walton should be proud. At St Mary’s we saw close to 300 people, looking around the church, checking the baptism, burial and marriage registers, enjoying a cup of tea and some delicious cake AND we had 45 brave people abseiling down the Tower including Cathy, Jonny, Alex and his wife Katy. It was truly fantastic occasion and we are gratefully to people who gave up their time some them for the whole day. Whether abseiling, administrating, baking, bucket-shaking, cheering, guiding, harnessing, serving, sponsoring or welcoming everyone did their bit.
