Prayer is an amazing privilege, but it’s also really hard work and requires commitment and effort. Below are a variety of links to apps and websites that might be helpful when thinking about ways to encourage and support your daily prayer life. They have all been designed to help make prayer accessible, we really have no excuses!

It can be a challenge when we are all so very busy but it is possible to be busy and still enjoy time with God.

In response to reaching the terrible milestone of 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, the Archbishops once again invite each of us to call on God in Prayer. Together they have again written to the whole Church encouraging us to make February a month of prayer. Read their letter here.

We have a selection of resources available to give you some ideas including the Prayer Walk which we put together back in November.

Prayer for the Nation

Starting on 1 February the Archbishops invite us all to set aside time every evening to pray, particularly at 6.00 pm each day. More than ever, this is a time when we need to love each other. Prayer is an expression of love. To hear more from the Archbishop of Canterbury follow him on his Facebook page.

Pray while you walk – you can pray for what you see around you and those you meet. You can pray for your friends as you walk past their house for example. As you walk, we encourage you to imagine you are taking the light of Christ from the Church around the town and back to your home.

Follow our route with suggested prayers to prayed as you walk… if you’re not able to get out and walk you might enjoy praying through the short video we made of the route (click on the picture above to watch) DOWNLOAD GUIDE HERE
