Jesus answered,

“I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John14:6

YOUTH UPDATE

There is no doubting that 2020/21 has been an incredibly challenging year for the Youth at St Mary’s and St John’s. It is the young people within our church family that have been most impacted by the social and economic consequences of lockdown, but there are glimmers of hope. Thanks to some grants we were given we have some fantastic equipment for our young people to enjoy including; table tennis, air hockey, pool, table football, Nintendo switch and uni-hockey.

Check out what our Youth have been up too including some of their own views and a short testimony read ‘A View From The Youth’  or watch their short video!

THE WAY

Monday evenings 6.30 – 8.00 pm during term time at St John’s

“ It’s nice to have a group of people who we can just have fun with but also talk about God.”
“It’s a great way to start the week! On a Monday, when you’re at school, it’s good to have this to look forward to.”
“I’m really happy we have a fun, friendly youth worker that can support us in our faith.”
“It was great! But there weren’t any jaffa cakes – that was the only thing wrong with it!” …… one week later …. “I loved the jaffa cakes!”

Join us for games, friendship, Bible study, prayer and chocolate!

Come and grapple with life’s ‘Big Questions’ and discover what being a Christian means to you. We aim to look at a different theme each half term and to make use of our musical equipment (drums, guitars, keyboards, microphones) once a month for some worship time. No need to pre-book, just come and be made welcome.

(If it is your first session, we will need your parent/guardian to sign you in and give us their contact details.)

THE LIFE

Sunday evenings – once each half term – 6.00 – 8.00 pm at St John’s

Please Note: This has been suspended until Autumn Term 2023

“Very fun and enjoyable.”

“It was perfect!”

“Very good, loved it! Do it again!”

Come and join us for fun, food and thought-provoking questions. Each session is slightly different but usually includes games and crafting. You will need to sign up for this session, you can do that here!

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

We also have Youth Fellowship who meet in St Mary’s Hall every Sunday evening during term time between 7.00 – 9.00 pm – Youth Fellowship is for secondary school age children aged 12-18 years.
