In these strange times we are working really hard to bring church to you in your homes. Online Church has fast become the norm. Below are listed the different things we will have available. Links for Zooms will be made available in the weekly email or please email (news@waltonparish.org.uk) and ask if you don’t have that. We are doing our very best to keep things updated as they evolve in these ever changing times.

There will be a service of Holy Communion available to watch on our YouTube channel. It will go live at 8.00 am on Sunday morning. There will also be a selection of music to listen on and sometimes we will hear from our own musicians.

Join us each morning at 9.00 am for prayer. We will begin with some scripture, followed by a short discussion and a time of prayer. We will meet on Zoom and details will be in your weekly email or contact communications@waltonparish.org.uk

Sunday

8.00am – Said Communion – A traditional service with a short sermon, offering a tranquil atmosphere with the opportunity for stillness and reflection.  The Book of Common Prayer is used on the 2nd in the month.

 

9.15am – Contemporary Service – A lively service with worship and music in a contemporary style. Everyone will start off in church, and after the first 10-15 minutes the children go across to the hall for their teaching; the adults will continue in church for the rest of the service, with sermon, prayers and worship music.

1st Sunday – All Age Contemporary service

2nd Sunday – Contemporary Communion

3rd & 4th Sundays – Contemporary Service

Baptism’s will be held on the 4th Sunday. Check for more details on the Baptism page.

 

11.00am – Communion – A reflective service with traditional music. Everyone will start off in church, and after the first 10-15 minutes the children will go across to the hall for their teaching; the adults will continue in church for the rest of the service.

7.00pm – Evening Praise – Held on the third Sunday of every month, Evening Praise is a service with contemporary worship music, prayer, and bible teaching and prayer ministry.

 

Thursday

10.00am – Morning Service & Coffee – 2nd & 4th Thursdays – A said service with a short sermon.

 

Friday

2.00pm – Toddler Praise – each Friday during term time. This is a short service of songs, stories and prayers specially designed for small children. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, carers, brothers and sisters are most welcome.

Sunday

9.00am – Said Communion – A traditional service with a short sermon, offering a tranquil atmosphere with the opportunity for stillness and reflection. 1st Sunday of each month. Join us for coffee and pastries afterwards.

 

10.30am – An informal service with hymns, prayers and a talk – with Sunday School in St John’s Room.

1st Sunday – Morning Praise. Join us from 9.50am for coffee and a catch up with friends who have been at the 9.00am service.

2nd Sunday – All Age service

3rd Sunday – Holy Communion

4th Sunday – Morning Worship

 

Wednesday

10.00am Morning Service & Coffee – 1st & 3rd Wednesdays – A said service with a short sermon.

 

Friday

10.30am – Toddler Praise – each Friday during term time. This is a short service of songs, stories and prayers specially designed for small children. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, carers, brothers and sisters are most welcome.

 

3.30pm – Messy Church – @ St John’s. It’s a way of being church for families involving fun – is found across the world – values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration. Check the calendar for dates.

Where a month has 5 Sundays we will usual have a joint service where we meet to celebrate together as one big church family. Please always check the calendar for details.
