We have a range of services to cater for a variety of worship styles and preference.  See below for details of each service.  Please note that on the 1st Sunday of each month, all congregations from St Mary’s and St John’s join together at 10.00 am at St Mary’s, so no other morning service happens that week.

Our 9.00 am and “Together @ 10” services are streamed to our YouTube.

Please always check the calendar or contact the church office if you have any questions.

Sundays at St Mary’s

9.00 am

Holy Communion

Our 9.00 am Holy Communion service is a traditional service that follows the liturgy set for each of the church’s seasons. We have organ led hymns, a sermon and celebrate the Eucharist (communion) every week, except for the 1st Sunday of the month.

10.15 am All Age

Our All Age intergenerational service is ideal for families to worship and explore Jesus together.  It is an informal service that mixes worship songs, accessible teaching, and prayer activities.  This congregation meets in St Mary’s Church Hall from 10.00 am for refreshments except for the 1st Sunday of the month.

6.30 pm

Evening Praise

On 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month we have Evening Praise.  This is an informal service where we sing contemporary worship songs and explore the bible through discussion.  We often will explore the morning theme deeper than we can during Holy Communion.

10.00 am

Together @ 10

On the 1st Sunday of every month, all the congregations come together for a joint celebration at 10.00 am.  There is an accessible sermon for all ages, a mixture of hymns and worship songs from across the services and Holy Communion.

Sundays at St John’s

10.30 am

Morning Worship

This service follows the set liturgy for the day but is more informal than the 9.00am service at St Mary’s. Holy Communion is celebrated on 2nd and 4th Sundays, whilst the 3rd and 5th Sundays is a service of Morning Prayer.  We sing a mixture of hymns and contemporary worship songs as well as having a sermon each week.

4.00 pm

The 4

On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month we have the 4.  This is an informal contemporary service which begins with cake and refreshments.  There is a separate sermon for primary school-age children from the adults and youth.  We celebrate Communion once a month.

Thursdays at St Mary’s Church

Morning Service & Coffee – 10.30 am

A said service with a short sermon followed by coffee.

St Mary’s Church is open daily for private prayer. 9.30 am – 2.30 pm (Mon-Sat) and all day between services on a Sunday.
