08 Apr Electoral Roll Renewal

The Electoral Roll for the Parish of St. Mary’s and St. John’s is being completely renewed this year.  This is the case for every Parish in the country.

If you consider yourself to be a member of St. Mary’s and St. John’s, please do complete an Electoral Roll form and include yourself. The Electoral roll is seen as a list of members of the church; those of us who consider St. Mary’s and St. John’s to be our home church. Please complete the online form if you are able. Alternatively, you can complete a hard copy and return it to the Parish Office.

Legally, The Electoral Roll is also a list of people who are permitted to vote at the Annual Parish Church Meeting (APCM) and it is only people whose names are on the Roll, who are eligible to be elected to the PCC or the Deanery Synod.

An online form is available here and hard copies will be available in both churches from 6th April.

The deadline for completed forms to be received is Wednesday 23rd April. The list of names of the people on the Roll will be published in both churches by Sunday 27th April. No new names can be added in the period 25th April to the 12th May.
